It is the point where all what is physically there, transforms into what we perceive is there…

‘Stand In This Place’ formed part of the solo exhibition ‘What Gathers In The Corners’ which was held at the Cairns Regional Gallery in 2013. This exhibition explored how individual perception forms a unique and separate world that each of us live within.

‘Me To Me’ specifically addresses the idea of perception of self.

The image is finely divided with a line which cuts from top to bottom, this is a mirror, and it is the point where all what is physically there, transforms into what we perceive is there...

The figure to the right is the physical, flesh and blood, flowing hair, our costume for this world.

The figure to the left are all of the questions she has ever asked herself, and all of the answers she has found. What is it to be human? Where did we come from and where will be go? Who was I, who am I, and who do I want to be?
